Vacation Post 2: The House on St. Charles Place

Papa John and Mimi rented a beautiful house just one block from the beach and boardwalk in an area called the Garden District. It was beautiful, the perfect beach house! There was a front and rear balcony as well as a sun deck on the roof! The front balcony had plenty of room for card games, fellowship and even a swing which quickly became Elijah's favorite place to hang out with his family. Elijah and I woke up every morning with Mimi around 7 o clock and walked for almost an hour and a half on the boardwalk. We even saw some dolphin on one of our walks.  I loved staying so close to all the action and yet far enough that it was quiet and peaceful. We hope to make this an annual trip and would love to get the same house next time!

Yay for vacation!

Nothing sweeter than baby Elijah kisses!

Some face time with Papa John

Mama and Elijah, headed to the beach!

Ten whole days with the love of my life!

The balcony even had an Elijah size chair....okay maybe it was a  little big for  him

Such a sweet face

Enjoying time together on the swing

There were some heated games of poker and later, Chip and Grandmom had a blast playing Gin Rummy!

Great Grandmom and Elijah spent hours on that swing

Elijah had grown so much since he saw Great Aunt Mariel the first week after he was born

Family resemblance? :)

Elijah had fun with his Mimi

This was a very important call

This baby has the Folsom Prison Blues

Daddy had to do a little work while we were away but there was lots of play too!

We received a big box of cousin Little Bobby's clothes! Of course we put the Philly's hat on right away!

How cute is that baby!

This outfit was a gift from Grandmama and Pop and it has become one of my favorites...the perfect beach ensemble!

Elijah now gives very messy and very open mouth kisses. :)

Aunt Brianna loved holding her nephew

My sweet beach baby!
