Music

Music very important to our family. Music is what brings a sense of peace and fun to our home full of children when chaos sometimes seems inevitable. Our family uses music as expression. The children connect with their and our Celtic heritage though bagpipes and drums and I am introducing the French language to them through French children's songs. Some of my favorite moments with all the people that I love, include music.

Mama, back in "the day" singing with her band, Heady Ground Score. :)

Jeff Buckley is one of my favorite artists and always will be. The song Hallelujah is not one he wrote but his cover of this makes it seem like this song was written for him. His voice is angelic, tender and powerful. This song stirs something in me that I cannot put into words.

Elijah's third birthday, all he wanted was bagpipes.

Heady Ground Score at Big Daddy's....our regular gig.
This song, Labor of Love, was one I came across when looking for praise songs to add to my labor mix for the twins. It is an amazing, beautiful song about Mary giving birth to Jesus. An incredible inspirational song of strength and love that has become my anthem for my upcoming labor.
I played the guitar and sang to Elijah all the time throughout my pregnancy.
This beautiful rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What a Wonderful World was our theme for Elijah's birth and we will probably use it again when creating the twins' birth video. It perfectly captures the magic of those first moments with your newborn love. It has become a favorite in our home.
A few days old and a musician already.

This is one of my favorite BDF songs (other than the one he wrote for me of course!) and it is one I have listened to through the years and somehow felt his presence.
Elijah's first instrument.

Patrick at seven months old playing that piano.
