Elijah goes to San Antonio!

Last Thursday, Elijah and I took a trip to San Antonio to see Grandmama, Pop, Uncle Brad and Nan!We left early in the morning, 6am, on Thursday and drove straight through! Elijah was an excellent passenger, not crying at all! He was a hungry boy by the time we got to Grandmama and Pop's house though. We began the  day by having a delicious lunch with Grandmama and then went to Pop's work so he could introduce Elijah to the people at his hospital. He is such a proud Pop and it was so much fun to see him share his grandson with such pride. That evening, Elijah had his very first fine dining experience. We went to our family favorite, The Palm.  Elijah got to experience lobster (hours later via Mommy's milk!). The next day we went to surprise Nan with a visit. She loves seeing her favorite baby!  It makes my heart so happy to see the joy Nan gets from holding Elijah.  And no matter how much she forgets, she never forgets how much she loves him or what a good baby he is.  It was an amazing couple of days. We headed home later that day so we could spend the weekend home with Daddy. Once again, Elijah was the picture perfect passenger on the way home.
Elijah is all ready for his adventure with Mommy! (Unfortunately we had to change clothes when we got to San Antonio due to a blowout diaper)
Pop was so excited to introduce his first grandchild to the people at his hospital.
Everyone thinks Elijah looks like Uncle Brad.
We had a wonderful dinner at The Palm, Elijah's first fine dining experience.

Nan glows every time she looks at her great grandson.

"Mommy, is it time for 2nd breakfast yet?"
Grandmama took us shopping after lunch and we had fun trying on the lion hat. It is far too hot for Texas but so much fun to try on!
