Chip's 30th Birthday. Part III. His ACTUAL Birthday

This year, Chip's birthday fell on a Tuesday.  It is always nice to have a small celebration on your actual birthday when you have a weekend birthday party! We enjoyed a nice, quiet evening at home with some more presents, a great dinner and delicious red velvet cake (made by Virginia!)
Chip's dinner request for meatloaf with "real meat".
Present Time! Chip received a belt to match the shoes he got at Christmas and a new wallet
Chip also received new cuff links engraved with our initial so now he can wear his French cuff shits without rolling up the sleeves!
Wrigley and I enjoyed some cuddle time while we watched Chip open his gifts
Bonnie came over to join us on the couch
Mom and Dad (Parish) came over to help celebrate for their son's birthday milestone.

Chip's 30th Birthday. Part I. Dinner at Peli Peli

Chip turns 30th this year! Coincidentally his father was also 30 when Chip was born! With so much to celebrate,  I decided we really needed to ring this important year in with a bang! Because Chip's actual birthday fell on a Tuesday, we decided to celebrate the Saturday before.  We began the evening with a fabulous and fancy dinner at our new favorite Cypress hot spot, Peli Peli!
Peli Peli is located in The Vintage. It is a beautiful little Tuscan style shopping village not far from our house.
The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out, possibly one of the last for a while!
Chip indulged in a fancy Bellini...one of his favorite frozen concoctions
An extra helping of flatbread was my early indulgence!
No, that is not a lobster!
Quick stop at Urban Vine...our friendly neighborhood wine store/wine bar before getting home for Part II!.........

To Be Continued.

Chip's 30th Birthday. Part II. Surprise!!!

........after dinner at Peli Peli and a stop at the Urban Vine, we headed home.  What Chip did not know was that while we were gone, my helpers were busily cooking, decorating and preparing our home and guests were steadily arriving! When we walked into the house, we were greeted with a house full of friends and birthday horns blaring in all directions. Some from the balcony upstairs, from from the steps and some from right in front of us. Even I jumped in surprise!  The evening was wonderful and I know my darling husband felt how much he is loved by us all.
I love this photo! Perfectly captures the moment and the shock!
One of the biggest surprises of the night was D.A., childhood friend of Chip that I contacted when I hijacked Chip's facebook account.
My sweet little God son, Jadon, here to party down with Uncle Chip!
Present time! Chip opened his card from me and in it was a confirmation for a weekend stay at the Sheraton Suites in Dallas. Perfect for a pregnant family getaway! The living room will be great for when I wake up at 4am with the fella in my belly and Chip wants to sleep in. Yay!
Next the card from Wrigley and Bonnie! And a map of the  St. Patty's Day Dallas Parade that we will attend as well as a menu from Toulouse in Dallas where we will have dinner........
The biggest gift was for Daddy from Elijah. TWO TICKETS TO SEE THE BLACKHAWKS PLAY IN DALLAS!  Elijah sure knows what Daddy wants!
One more gift to open......
A Blackhawks jacket to wear to the game!
The happy family!
Everyone enjoyed watching Chip open his gifts!
A sweet moment with Bonnie, Jadon and Uncle Chip.
Time to light the candles...notice the Chicago Blackhawks colors for the cake and decor! That was the theme of the evening!
Josh was very entertaining with his special rendition of Happy Birthday. Kyle found it particularly amusing.
Chip found it pretty hilarious as well.
What would a man as lucky as Chip wish for? He already has a son on the way and Blackhawks tickets!
Fabulous friends that just happen to live on the same street as we do!
These friends had to drive to our house.
Lacy and Rita never miss the important milestones!
Love my handsome fella!
Wrigley loves his favorite babysitter!

The Annual Halliburton BBQ

Chip and I attended the annual Halliburton BBQ Saturday and, the same as every year, had a blast! Here are some photos from the day.
Having some pregnancy fun with a cardboard cut out of Justin Beiber. No, he's not  really the daddy!
Next year, Elijah will be a lot more visable in our Halliburton BBQ Pics!

Fun Day at The Woodlands Mom Expo 2012!

Grandma (Parish) and I (along with Elijah in the belly!) had a great day at the Mom Expo in the Woodlands.  We had been looking forward to this event since Heather found it for me a month ago and I even got in for free because I am a "Blogging Mommy!"  The expo was full of fantastic vendors with great services and products for both Mom and Baby! Here are some of the photos from our day!
We were very excited to see the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile when we pulled in to the event!
This was one of the first cute things I saw. Too bad Chip gave me strict instructions that I am not allowed to purchase any baby things until AFTER our shower. :)
Such a cute little diaper cake!
Feeling so blessed to have such an amazing mother  in law to share this day
Most adorable "St. Patty's Day" Diaper cake!
A Diaper MOTORCYCLE! Granddad Parish and Chip would love this!
Looks like a toy hoodlum but still totally adorable!
Just cause Mommy was on buying probably does not mean Grandma  is!  She bought this really cook wooden zoo for Elijah! I know he will love learning and playing with it!
I am already looking forward to next year's Mom Expo! I came across some really great parenting and family resources that I am excited to research some more, including a holistic health center in Houston!  More to come as I go through my information and discover what will be useful for our family!
