The Parishes Go To Dallas

This weekend, we took a trip to Dallas to attend the Chicago Blackhawks vs. Dallas Stars Hockey game.  The tickets had been a gift from "Elijah" for his daddy's birthday.  It also happened to be St. Patrick's day weekend and what will probably be the last overnight trip we take until our son is born.  Here are some photos from our "Babymoon".
We began our drive by picking up "Shamrock Shakes" from McDonald's to enjoy on our drive up late Friday morning.   We felt this would be the perfect start to the St. Patty's Day festivities!
Chip found some fellow Blackhawks fans in the lobby of our hotel who shared the shuttle with us to the game!
Mommy and Elijah are all ready to enjoy the game
Before the game we stopped for a yummy and entertaining dinner at Dick's Last Resort
Standing outside the American Airlines Center, we both said it was the coolest arena we had ever seen
For Chips very first NHL game, we were only a few rows up from the ice!
It was an amazing game and a really fun night!
The Blackhawks scored a goal in the first TEN SECONDS of the game...and another goal in the first 2 minutes!
Elijah seemed to really like all the noise and music. He was practicing his own hockey moves!
Dallas Maverick and former LA Laker, Lamar Odom was a really fun celebrity spotting.....
It was even cooler to see his wife, Khloe Kardashian sporting her fabulous Dallas Stars hat!
The next day was St. Patrick's Day.  We began the day with a delicious breakfast sandwich!
We met some new friends at the parade. This is Gavin. We hung out with his family while we waited for the parade to start!
I showed my Irish spirit by having a shamrock painted on my cheek!
This was definitely  my favorite float!
What would St. Patrick's Day be without a leprechaun ?
These were some of the coolest Shriners I had ever seen!
After the parade, we stopped at pub for lunch
Our waitress gave me a cute headband to celebrate the day
Elijah celebrated his Irish heritage too!
We ended the day with a romantic dinner at Toulouse Cafe
We both remarked that this might be the last fancy night out for a long time since soon there will be a little one
French Onion Soup...my favorite!
We ended the more than one month long celebration of my husband's birthday with one more candle in honor of his 30th!

It was an amazing weekend.
