A Ninja Turtle Twin Birthday!

This year, the twins were old enough to choose their own birthday party theme. And it is quote possibly the only year they will agree! (Though this Mama hopes that isn't the case). Rory and Patrick unanimously declared "Ninja Turtles!" when, a few months ago, I asked them what kind of birthday party they wanted. And since making that decision, they have not only stuck with it but excitedly talked about the upcoming event to whomever would lend an ear. Our parties tend to be full of families (parents and kids), yummy themed food, lots of decorations and costumes (because we all like to dress up!). This party was no different.

Our favorite photographer and good friend, Monique (https://www.facebook.com/imagesbyphotographybymonique/), was of course present to capture the moment. And of course these little camera hams could not wait to show off their Ninja moves in their cool turtle costumes!

The cutest turtles ever!

Of course, Mama never misses the chance to join in the costume fun!

Elijah had some cool Ninja moves to show his brothers. He is a veteran preschool ninja turtle himself!

THE FOOD AND DECOR

One of the highlights of the party was the fabulous cake done by Kimberlee Smyth ( www.wordofmoutheventplanning.com ). The boys were beside themselves with exciting when they saw it!

Our favorite party favors to give out are homemade Oreo Pops. I could not believe we found the PERFECT green color for our TMNT party!

Of course no party is complete without the fruit and veggie trays designed to look like our favorite characters!

Just a few decorations to bring the Ninja Turtle spirit to the party!

Patrick was a fan of the Ninja Turtle cookies.

Mama and Elijah admiring the fabulous cake!

Last year, Granmumsy and Pop gifted the three boys with a backyard roller coaster. It is still a big hit on party days and every other day.

Maddie and Rory had fun kicking it in the clubhouse.

I just love that little angel face.

We just love our friends.

This was Rory's kind of game!

Kyleigh brought some girl power!

Layla and her mighty strike to the turtle.

Jadon looks like he's done this before!

Elijah was up for the challenge...

Down came the "squishies" or fruit snacks as anyone besides my kids would call them.

Thank you to everyone who helped. Monique, you, as always, perfectly captured the day. Kimberlee, I have a feeling we found our new "cake lady" for our family parties! Tony, there is no way this would have all gotten done without your help from setting up to picking up to cleaning up. Heather, thank you for jumping in, as always, and helping with pictures after Monique.  Aunt Merrily, thank you for making the trek from San Antonio to celebrate my boys. Melba, your guacamole was out of this world. To all our friends and family that came to join us in celebration, we thank you.
