Sweet P Can Dance!

We had our 9 week appointment with our specialist yesterday. I can't believe we are getting close to the end of the first trimester and will no longer be high risk! Sweet P is growing fast! S/he is over 26 mm long, that is over an inch! The heartbeat is 183 bpm. Pretty fast! Could this mean a girl...or is that just an old wives tale. Yesterday was pretty special. Because of our high risk status, we get 1-2 ultrasounds a week since about week 5. I have seen the heartbeat almost since the beginning but never saw Sweet P move....until yesterday! S/he was just just dancing and wiggling all over the place! It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I cannot wait until I can actually feel those precious movements inside of me! This tiny creature is growing and moving and feeling already. It feels like we have so long to go and I am anxiously awaiting my baby bump. Right now, I think I look a little pregnant....but I am sure other people think I just got a little chubby. :) Though so far I have lost 5lbs...but by belly is defiantly bigger, and thanks to the progesterone shots that my loving husband so expertly gives me, my butt is a bit bigger too. I am really looking forward to all the changes that will come with the second trimester. Just 4 more weeks!

Baby Parish....2012 Edition!

It's official. Sweet P (for Sweet Parish) will make his or her debut on May, 3, 2012! We found out a week ago with our at home test and it was confirmed by the doctor's office today!!! We are slowly going to tell our family and friends a few at a time. So if you are reading this, you will know we have shouted from the roof tops WE ARE PREGNANT!!! We have had so much support along the way from our family and friends and it has been an integral part of this journey. Our beta levels (pregnancy hormone) is sky high so this should be a strong, healthy pregnancy. That won't stop this Mommy from worrying every step of the way!

The Loss of a Teeny Tiny Life

We lost our baby. We went to the doctor yesterday for an early ultrasound and they could not find Teeny Tiny Parish. When the did a blood test, they found our Beta level dropped to half of what it was on Thursday, indicating a miscarriage. After 567 days of trying, going through a ton of difficult and expensive fertility treatments and then only having the joy of impending parenthood taken away from us after only 5 short days of knowing, we are lost. Rest in Peace Teeny Tiny Parish. I can only take solace in the fact that you were too small to have suffered.

Chip's First Father's Day!

Today was Chip's very first Father's day! It was the perfect day. First we met Chip's parents at Church. One of the main focuses on the service was what it means to be a good father. I know Chip will be an AMAZING father! After church we went to a great little Italian restaurant in The Woodlands for lunch. Though there were some tasty look dishes with lots of cheese and cream on the menu, Teeny Tiny Paris h and I had whole wheat pasta with veggies! TTP is going to be strong and healthy from all the nutritious food! Our waitress found out we are expecting and offered me a free dessert. But TTP and I gave it to Chip for Father's Day. After lunch we headed back to Mom & Dad's house to open presents. Teeny Tiny Parish and I gave Chip a mug that says "Papa Bear" and has a bear that looks just like the Chicago Bear's mascot! It is perfect for Chip because he is about to be a Papa and he loves the Bears. We also gave him a Fathers Day frame where he can display the sonogram pictures in his office. Chip's mom also had a special suprise for us. She made TTP's very first burp cloth and blanky! I can hardly wait to wrap our little baby in the blanket and hear the itty bitty burps that come of that cute little mouth!

Not really a bump yet but we are working on it. And we can't wait!

Presents from Angela and TTP (Teeny Tiny Parish)

Beamer and Henry (doggies) gave Chip's dad a remote control helicopter, something he has wanted for a while!

I know Chip can't wait to put those booties on little tiny feet. They match the newborn Ole Miss Col. Reb cap that I have waiting!

Teeny Tiny Parish's Granddaddy also has some booties waiting!

All of the gifts and cards Chip received for Father's Day!

Chips very first shirt and his little diaper cover. I can't wait to put that on our baby! If we have a girl, we can just stick a little blue bow in her hair!

WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!!

Yesterday at 3pm, Cecilia, the best nurse in the world, called from my doctor's office and gave us the news. We are finally pregnant! I still can't believe it! Chip and his mother, Janet were home with me waiting for the call. Cecilia asked me if I wanted to put her on speaker phone. Then she said the most amazing two words I have ever heard. I believe you could have heard the screams coming from our house all the way to Fort Bend County. There were tears, exhales, hugs and sheer happiness. This is just how it is suppose to be. I am very anxious to take care of the growing person inside me over the next 9 months and beyond. I am suddenly very aware of the fact that I am pregnant and feel very protective of what is going on in my body. I just can't believe it has actually happened. Janet and spent the rest of the day shopping, and looking at baby things. Chip and Latheal went to Lowes to look at paint for the upstairs as we are redoing our home.....and we are getting ready to paint and carpet the nursery soon! I have estimated Teeny Tiny Parish's birthdate to be around February 20, 212. We have a doctor's visit and an ultrasound on Tuesday!
